The Ministry of Social Development of Salta assisted 39 families affected by heavy rains in the municipalities of Rosario de Lerma and La Merced, with no evacuees registered. According to the Argentine News Agency, the operation was carried out under the leadership of Minister of Social Development Mario Mimessi, and the provincial emergency protocol was activated due to the weather that hit the region in recent days. In Rosario de Lerma, the operation was deployed to assist 22 affected families, while in La Merced, a total of 17 family groups were assisted. The assistance included the delivery of food modules, mattresses, water drums, and other essential items according to the needs identified by technical teams that surveyed the affected areas. From the social portfolio, it was specified that no evacuated families were registered in any of the intervened municipalities, and in the case of La Merced, all assisted people were local residents, with no reports of tourists involved.
"Accompaniment will continue according to the evolution of the climatic situation and the joint surveys carried out with the municipalities, reinforcing the territorial presence of the State."
